Remote Buying for Overseas Clients

Buying in Dubai from another country raises practical questions: how to view, sign, pay and follow progress without travelling. We guide you through each step remotely, in your language, and show you how to check everything on official services.

What is included

  • Video viewings of show homes, sites and sample units.
  • A document checklist and guidance on the identity checks developers ask for.
  • Coordination of e-signing where the developer offers it.
  • Confirmation that every payment goes into the project escrow account under Dubai Law No. 8 of 2007 on escrow accounts.
  • Help setting up the Dubai REST app so you can follow the project yourself.
  • Guidance on when a power of attorney may be needed, with a referral to a notary or lawyer.
  • Updates in your language: English, Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam or Punjabi.

How it works

  1. Start with a consultation

We agree your goal, budget and timeline by phone or WhatsApp, and explain which steps can be done remotely.

  2. View by video

We walk you through show homes and sites on a live video call and answer questions as you go.

  3. Sign and pay safely

Where the developer allows it, you sign electronically. You pay the developer's escrow account directly, never a personal or broker account.

  4. Follow progress

You follow the project's progress, escrow account and payments due in the Dubai REST app, and we keep you updated until handover.

What we do not do

We tell you where our role ends, so you know when to bring in a lawyer, a lender or a tax adviser.

  • We do not prepare or attest powers of attorney. We refer you to a notary or lawyer.
  • We do not give tax or remittance advice in your home country. Check with a tax adviser where you live.
  • We do not give legal advice.

Buying from your country

Rules in your home country apply as well as Dubai’s. Residents of India, for example, should read our guide to buying property in Dubai from India, and buyers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf can start with buying from the GCC. For tax and remittance questions at home, speak to a licensed adviser where you live.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to travel to Dubai to buy off-plan?

Often not. Many steps, such as viewing, signing and paying, can be done remotely where the developer allows it. Some steps may need you in person or a representative with a power of attorney. We tell you early which applies.

How is my money protected when I buy from abroad?

Off-plan payments go into the project escrow account under Dubai Law No. 8 of 2007 on escrow accounts, not to a broker. You can see the escrow details for a project in the Dubai REST app. Escrow protects how funds are used; it does not remove every risk.

Do you only recommend your partner developers?

No. We advise across developers. We work with 40+ developer partners, and we also advise on projects by Emaar, Sobha, Nakheel, Meraas and Aldar, which are not partners.
